Barry Katipunan

Managing Director

Barry Katipunan is a Certified Insurance Professional and Senior Associate with The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF). He holds a Diploma in Insurance Broking from ANZIIF, the premier membership, education, training, and professional development organisation for the insurance and finance industry in the Asia-Pacific region.

Barry began his career with HIA Insurance Services (HIAIS), a joint venture between AON—a multinational organisation specialising in risk management—and The Housing Industry Association, the leading industry association for residential building in Australia. Starting his professional journey in Sydney, Barry later had the opportunity to work in London, UK, for Marsh McLennan, a global professional services firm specialising in risk, strategy, and people. During his time in London, he expanded his knowledge and honed his insurance broking skills while working in the Aerospace and Aviation division.

Upon returning to Australia, Barry rejoined HIAIS, where he advanced through various leadership roles, including Client Manager, Service Manager, and Business Development Manager. After 15 successful years in the insurance broking industry, Barry founded Hills Insurance Solutions, bringing his wealth of experience and expertise to his own enterprise.
